This one is special - I almost didn’t want to sell it. The whimsical tree shape makes it great for a Christmas decoration or just a woodsy everyday decoration. I can easily see this box becoming a place for traditions and memories. Maybe small treats being stashed in the drawers for young children to discover on Christmas morning. Or a great place to hide an engagement ring.
Believe it or not, this started out as a solid chunk of wood. Specifically, one piece of Cherry sandwiched between two solid pieces of Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) all glued together. Then we makes a series of cuts to extract the center, which creates the 3 drawers. We then finished this with a gel polyurethane to keep the outside looking fresh. The drawer interior is lined with a gorgeous green flocking (felt).
