Thick 1-3/4-inch End-Grain Butcher Block style cutting board made from solid Maple. End-grain cutting boards basically "heal" themselves after cutting because the grain is on it's end (facing upward) so you're not cutting through the grain with general use. That's why end-grain cutting boards look like new for so long!
Special care was taken on the placement of each piece of wood, so the grain creates a lovely "checkerboard" pattern across the top. We've rounded all edges for a smooth appearance and have added cut-out spaces for handles to make this piece easier to lift and move around your kitchen.
Maintaining your cutting board is as easy as wiping with butcher block conditioner/oil whenever it starts to look a little dry. This piece is very heavy duty and will rival any of the other big names on the market.
